Sheepshead and Black Drum

I met up with the crew at Mayport boat ramp at around 7am. We headed out to the Inlet and started hunting for clean water. Both sides of the Inlet today were a bit dirty. At best, the water clarity was 1-2 feet. We picked a spot and went to work. The fishing was a lot slower than it has been recently. We managed to catch fish but the frequency of the bite was definitely not the same. We moved all over the Inlet, fishing both shallow, up against the rock walls and out deeper. All the fish that we caught were in no deeper than around 10 feet. The deeper structure had nothing whatsoever for us today. I believe the water clarity may have thrown off the bite a bit. The water temp is holding strong at 63 degrees which should be perfect. Hopefully, we'll get a few more days of warm weather to keep that water temperature from dropping too much. The crew really seemed to have a good time today. These boys were brutal on each other with the ball bustin! It reminded me of fishing with the guys I grew up with. I was a little nervous when it became clear to me that the bite was going to be slow all day. Thankfully, the guys got a decent amount of fish in the box by the end of the day. I would have rather gotten more but, it'll do. Thanks for coming out guys! Can't wait to put you in the new ride. Gonna be sweet
